OnDemand: 6 Reasons Why "Time" Is a Critical Determinant of Learning and Change

To reach the goals we hope to achieve in Continuing Education, it’s critical that we draw on several different fields adjacent to adult learning. In doing so, it becomes clear that both learners and educators must see time as a determinant of impact for the following six reasons:

  • Learners are heterogeneous – at different stages of change at any one time.
  • Learning and forgetting go hand-in-hand.
  • Learners struggle to reflect on lessons in structured ways.
  • Stories work because of their rhythms and nuances.
  • Interventions must evolve as our learners evolve.
  • Time allows the educator to optimize content and interventions.

This OnDemand session  6 Reasons Why "Time" is a Critical Determinant of Learning and Change  is a light-hearted exploration of truly actionable lessons! We enjoyed welcoming back presenter and CME expert Brian McGowan, Ph.D. as we investigated this compelling topic.
