Winner of the 2016 "People's Choice" award from the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEhp), Donald Harting, MA, ELS, CHCP serves as a continuing medical education (CME) specialist at MCM Education in Newtown Pennsylvania. Don is also co-investigator on a multi-year research project aimed at benchmarking best practices in CME needs assessment. A former investigative reporter, Don holds dual certification from the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences and the Commission for Certification of Healthcare CPD Professionals. Since 2009, Don has written or edited needs assessments, grant applications, and RFPs that have produced a combined $3.6 million for education. In addition to ACEhp, Don is an active member of the American Medical Writers Association and the Mid-Atlantic Alliance for CME. His article ranking the top 20 free needs assessment guidelines on the Internet appears in the current issue of CE Measure.
