BeaconLive has rolled out their latest LiveView release which is full of new features and enhancements to make your desktop sharing experience a breeze for both presenters and viewers.
New Features:
- The viewer can now resize their viewing area with the click of a button.
Differences in screen resolutions between presenters and viewers can prevent the viewer from being able to see the entire area being presented without scrolling up and down or side to side. Our new release provides the viewer with a toggle switch that will automatically resize the presented content to fit their screen.
- Presenters can easily choose the area they wish to share.
Upon starting the live desktop sharing, the presenter is given the option to select their entire desktop area at once, or choose a specific area to share by using the selection tool.
Enhancements:
- Automatic minimizing of Meeting Magnet browser.
Windows users - when LiveView is launched, your Meeting Magnet browser windows will minimize automatically. This allows you to be able to start your presentation directly from your desktop without having to close any applications.
- Improved and enhanced visual quality and speed.
Better data compression improves your sharing speed up to 40%. Now, presenters can switch from application to application seamlessly with almost no lag time for the viewers.
- Simplified toolbar is more convenient for presenters.
The LiveView toolbar is now smaller and less intrusive. It can now be moved to any part of your screen and minimized if needed. The toolbar icons have been updated and more clearly labeled, creating a more user-friendly environment.
Using LiveView Desktop sharing for presenters
- After logging into Meeting Magnet, click the "start" icon and then the LiveView icon in the top toolbar
- Click the "Launch" button to launch the application.
- If prompted by your browser in regards to the JNLP file, select ‘Open with Java Web Start Launcher' and make this the default option for the future.
- During the start up, if prompted by a security warning about application's digital signature, check ‘Always trust content from this publisher' and click ‘Run'.
- Once the application is launched, your Meeting Magnet browser will minimize (Window's Users) and the LiveView toolbar will be visible on the left-hand side of your screen
- Click the "Start" icon on the new LiveView toolbar to open the selection options window.
- If you wish to share your entire desktop, click on the "entire-screen" option, then click "start."
- If you wish to share only a portion of your desktop, click on the "selected area" option, select the area you wish to share, then click "start."
- Your desktop is now being broadcast to all of your viewers.
- You can pause the broadcast at anytime to select a new area or adjust your image quality settings (image quality settings cannot be adjusted while the broadcast is live)
- Once your broadcast is finished, click the "exit" icon to shut down the LiveView application, and, if applicable, return to your Meeting Magnet presentations.
